Dual Language

In Dual Language Education, students receive instruction in all content areas in both English and a second language (referred to as the target language) beginning in kindergarten. At the elementary level, students have a minimum of 50% of each instructional day in the target language. The three goals are bilingualism and biliteracy, academic achievement in both languages and sociocultural competence.

En la educación en dos idiomas, los estudiantes reciben instrucción en todas 
las áreas de contenido, tanto en inglés como en un segundo idioma empezando
 en kindergarten. En el nivel primario, los estudiantes tienen un mínimo del
 50% de cada día de instrucción en el idioma objetivo (español). 
Los tres objetivos son bilingüismo y alfabetización biliar, logros académicos 
en ambos idiomas y competencia sociocultural.
